Write the articles Indian landlords and property managers actually search for, and own our rankings in the rental-management niche.
About the role
Most SEO content in property management is generic: five tips, a listicle, a form at the bottom. We want the opposite: guides written by someone who actually understands rent collection, leases, deposits and tenant disputes in India, that answer the question better than anything else ranking.
Our blog is plain Markdown in the repo, not a CMS, with an automated internal-linking step and IndexNow submission already wired up. You will own the editorial calendar and the writing; engineering keeps the pipes working.
What you'll do
- Research and write SEO-optimized articles and guides on rent collection, leasing, tenant management and property accounting for an Indian audience.
- Find and prioritize keywords property managers and landlords actually search, from broad topics down to long-tail, India-specific queries.
- Write titles, meta descriptions and headers that rank, and structure articles for readability and AI-overview citability.
- Keep older posts current: refresh facts, tighten structure, fix anything that has slipped in the rankings.
- Work with the founder on positioning so content stays accurate to the product, not just generically SEO-friendly.
What you bring
- Excellent written English with a clean, direct style; comma, colon and period over em dash.
- Working knowledge of on-page SEO: keyword research, search intent, internal linking, meta tags.
- Comfortable researching a domain you don't start out knowing deeply, like property management, leases and Indian rental law basics.
- Can work independently against a content calendar and hit deadlines without close supervision.
- Writing samples or a portfolio that show range, not just one style of article.
Nice to have
- Prior writing for real estate, PropTech, fintech or another regulated-ish B2C/B2B SaaS niche.
- Familiarity with Ahrefs, Google Search Console or similar SEO tooling.
- Comfortable editing Markdown directly and opening a pull request for a post.
- A second Indian language for future regional content.
